Argosy is a classic 60-foot Argosy - Broward motor yacht. She was custom designed for her original owner in 1971 by Jack Hargrave one of the most renowned yacht designers of the last 50 years. She is constructed by Argosy Marine in Ft Lauderdale; Argosy Marine was acquired by Broward Marine in 1971.
Argosy is built completely of an aluminum alloy that combines strength as well as low weight.
Her interior was completely remodeled with raised panel mahogany in 1994. Over 100K was spent on the main salon and kitchen / dining area alone.
In 2023 the entire hull and topsides were blasted to bare metal, the bottom was coated with 3 coats of epoxy barrier coat and 2 coats of bottom paint. The yacht has a very industrial look, almost battleship like, and requires no buffing or polishing.
Her layout allows for both a spacious interior and huge outside spaces including bow seating for 8, a fly bridge that seats 10 easily, and an aft deck has 2 large seating and a huge coffee table. A lot of room considering that we never charter the Argosy to groups of more than six.
The main salon has a large L shaped leather couch, and a leather recliner, Entertainment is provided by a 32-inch TV with Bose surround sound and Bose stereo.
The Dinning area/ kitchen includes dishwasher, disposal, huge refrigerator, convection oven and everything else you would expect in a gourmet kitchen including cephalon cookware.
The accommodations include 3 guest staterooms and 2 guest bathrooms.
The master stateroom boasts a king size bed, a couch, plenty of closet space and a full bathroom with shower.
The second stateroom has two twin beds side by side, a closet.
A third stateroom is also aft has been converted into a laundry room.
A guest bathroom and shower are aft
The crews' quarters are forward, have 2 bunk beds and a separate bathroom that has been used for storage
