Designed by William Crealock, PowerBoat Guide notes that the Offshore 48 "is a distinctive and well conceived sedan with several features of note to buyers: a priority is placed on outdoor recreation as her generous deck areas suggest)--not only are the walkarounds wide and the cockpit spacious but the flybridge dimensions are extremely generous for a 48-footer. In addition, the wrap-around windows (which by the way are leakproof, thanks to a unique Crealock design) and sliding doors port and starboard make the salon seem expansive as well."
The design will be as happy fishing offshore or heading to the Puget Sound as doing a lunch cruise on the Bay--Offshores are seen regularly cruising the west coast from Mexico up to Alaska--and this particular low time example shows well both inside and out. Note relatively low time (less than 2,000 hours) on Cat 3208 diesels that are regularly serviced by List Marine, new aluminum tanks, new electronics, new bow thruster, new canvas and poly carb windows on fully enclosed flybridge with hardtop, new tender, bottom painted summer 2024 and regular dive service since.
Also note she's lying in a potentially transferable Sausalito slip down by the only local beach and in close proximity to the restaurants, shops and amenities of Sausalito, as well as the ferry to San Francisco. There's a long waiting list to get in that marina so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage.
Vessel shown by appointment, please.
Forward stateroom with centerline pedestal queen, two overhead hatches, hanging locker, private head with Vacuflush toilet and stall shower that's shared with the guest head (which is across the hall from the guest stateroom itself).
Next aft to guest stateroom with double berth (space for a second bunk above) port side, guest head with Vacuflush toilet and stall shower (shared with master stateroom head) across to starboard. Up four steps to galley port, lower helm with ladder to flybridge starboard and sliding doors to deck both port and starboard bring in plenty of light and air.
Continue aft to salon with L-shaped settee with double dropleaf table port side, two swivel chairs and built in flatscreen tv starboard, far aft thru sliding door to spacious cockpit with third steering station, ladder up to flybridge and step-thru transom to swim platform with swim ladder.
Note interior done in satin-finished teak and shows very nicely, 6' 4+ headroom throughout most of the boat, Cruisair reverse cycle heat/air (two units--one in salon one in master stateroom), headroom throughout most of boat (including sleeping areas), teak & holly sole. Covered side decks with high bulwarks for security in a seaway.
Galley up, same level as salon. Twin deep stainless steel sinks, hot/cold pressure water (20 gallon hot water heater0, Schott Ceranntwo burner induction cooktop, built in Sanyo microwave, two Subzero undercounter refrigerator/freezers, Broan trash compactor. Boat heads have Vacuflush toilets.
Simrad GPS chartplotter/ 36 mile radar, Robertson AP200 autopilot (at upper and lower helms, plus a remote control), Raymarine depth and speed, Icom IC-M120 marine transceiver, Furuno 1650 Shipmate VHF radio.
110V AC / 12V DC. Twin thirty amp shorepower services, Northern Lights 8kW genset in soundshield, Heart 3000 inverter/charger, Xantrex Link 2000-R battery monitor and ten 6V house batteries, two 8D engine start batteries.
Hand laminated modified-V hull with a deep forefoot; four full length stringers, multiple athwartship frames and balsa coring from the waterline up. Note the vessel has substantial displacement, long keel and low center of gravity make for a solid, sea-kindly ride--one of the reasons the Offshore 48 makes a good sea boat.
Robust anchor platform with Bruce anchor, Maxwell 2200 electric windlass with remote switch at lower helm, six mooring cleats, high sidedeck bulwarks with step-thrus port and starboard. Swim platform with folding swim ladder, step-thru transom to cockpit, fresh water washdowns at foredeck and cockpit. West Marine 9'6 inflatable with Yamaha four stroke outboard, electric dingy davit.
Well maintained Cat 3208 turbocharged after cooled diesels with dual Racor filters, Floscan fuel monitoring system (with displays at both helms) and just over 1,800 hours clocked; note the engines are easily accessed in an engine spaced that's double insulated to provide a quiet ride.
