This beautiful 1989 Herreshoff H28 ketch was built by Parkins Marine. She is a classic L Francis Herreshoff design known for her graceful lines seaworthiness and comfortable cruising ability. The boat is located in Bokeelia, Florida and is ready for her next owner.
Fiberglass Hull and Teak Accents. She is powered by a 1989 Yanmar 2GM20 inboard diesel engine with 16 horsepower, 111 hours and a two blade bronze propeller. Fuel tank capacity is 30 gallons fresh water is 60 gallons and the holding tank is 10 gallons.
The boat features two single berths one double berth two cabins and one new marine head. There are six bronze opening portholes bronze winches bronze cleats a bronze anchor roller teak dorade boxes with bronze dorades and bronze interior lights.
Sails include a battened mainsail and a newer furling jib. Rigging is simple and easy to handle with a tiller steering system. Electronics consist of a radio VHF plotter and compass. Manual bilge pump in cockpit.
Inside equipment includes an electric bilge pump, Alcohol cooktop stove, Mermaid 6000 BTU AC, a newer marine head and a battery charger. Electrical setup features a newer shore power inlet and power cord. Portable 110v AC to keep cabin cool while at docks.
Outside you will find a cockpit table, newer padded folding chairs new flags a Dingy davits, swimming ladder a main berth skylight (prism) and hatch, wooden hatch and a newer main berth fan. All covers are recent including the bimini top, mainsail cover, hatch cover, V-berth skylight cover, and bronze air vent covers. Also includes a Magna BBQ grill.
