Seller’s Comments:

This was our first boat, and she taught us more than we could have imagined while being an absolute pleasure to own. When we bought her, my wife had only been on a sailboat once and didn’t know how to sail. Within a short time, she was confidently crewing, and even competing in the Chicago to Mackinac Race last year. She credits this boat’s forgiving nature, ease of handling, strong sailing performance, and comfort underway as the reasons she was able to learn so quickly—and why she’s now completely hooked on the sport.

For me, she was the perfect platform to learn the ins and outs of boat ownership. From small maintenance projects, like cleaning the brightwork, to hands-on repairs like replacing a starter motor, she provided invaluable experience without ever being overwhelming. Under sail, she is responsive, nimble, and rewarding at the helm, delivering a truly engaging sailing experience. She consistently performs above her size, making every outing both exciting and confidence-inspiring.

Our passages across Lake Michigan aboard her have been some of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had, building both skill and confidence as sailors. Owning a Sabre has felt like a luxury we never expected, whether it’s compliments from fellow boaters on her classic beauty, above and below deck, or the surprised looks when she outperforms expectations on the water.

She has set a very high bar and will be incredibly hard to replace.
